Thanks for watching with me. DH couldn’t take the stress and went to bed. I’m trying to wind down so I can sleep. Now watching the last minutes of UCLA/Creighton. Was hoping Creighton might pull it off. Looks like it’s not to be.

I do have to mention that I love seeing women coaching as well as women refs. As it should be IMHO.

Betty - our creepy worms were the oak leaf rollers which turn into moths. They are not fuzzy, just icky.
I'm heading to bed,

Good morning! Sunny day, mid 30s and it looks like just a breeze.
Peg - I was watching with you! Mail biter! WV was fighting every second! Good defensive players. Good to see the, advance. We watched parts of 2 other games before Iowa. Need to check the bracket to see who’s still in the hunt.
Betty - hope Susan’s flight is on time. Enjoy the visit. Falling caterpillars! Yikes!
Luv - hope all works out with the cars. Can you get loaners?
Better get more coffee. The news about the bridge in Baltimore is upsetting!

Good morning all. I am not sure if I will walk with my regular condo DFs or stay in with our PA guests before they leave but leaning to staying with our PA friends.
Prayers for Baltimore and the bridge collapse - I watched the video.

Good morning. I was awake from 2-5AM. Grrr on those Prednisone side effects. I had a bout of severe heartburn, so came downstairs and had a bit of honey, which really helps. Added a second pillow to raise my head. Then finally fell asleep and had a weird dream. The alarm woke me up and here I am. Awful news about the bridge in Baltimore and the people who were potentially killed in the accident. And wow, those videos of the bridge just collapsing around the tanker.
It's book shop day, followed by a 6:30 appointment with the Costco h/aid dept to re-adjust my aids. They're too loud and too high pitched. It's uncomfortable. Am struggling with how to charge them on my trip to France - an overnight -hr flight followed by a most of the day trip to Burgundy. I kept my old h/aids which were battery powered. Should I wear them instead? IDK. Also remembered that I need to stop my newspaper for the days we're away. D doesn't read the Times so I'll cancel from the day we leave for Canada through when I return from France. Will do that after I post here.
Allison - you can always walk later today, right? So nice to have had company.
Jeanne - it's nice here but overcast. No rain is expected though.
Must clear my inbox and head to the NYTimes site. TTFN

Morning all, 32* with wind. Not nice out there. Need to figure out ‘what’s for lunch’ as usual. I’m planning to go see our friends in the care facility today. Since I finished my bookclub book (tomorrow’s the meeting) I need to get busy listening to the one for my 2nd Tuesday bookclub. I’m actually not a fan of audio vs just reading it myself. But I can get it on my tablet, so I’ll listen today.
Allison - that video of the bridge collapsing is heart wrenching. Prayers for all that are missing.
Jeanne - I had been really worried about West Virginia, I had been reading how good they were, and nothing is ever assured. Those girls also played their hearts out. So far I don’t know much about CO. I’m sure I’ll see news articles in the next few days.
Luv - whew, is all I can say about that game. So glad they won
Just had a nice long phone visit with DSon. Now it’s time to get some breakfast and get this day going. Have a good one all.

Caryn - is there any kind of battery charger that you could use for the hearing aids? I have a battery charger I can plug in to recharge my devices, wondering if something like that is available for the hearing aids? Sorry about the sleeping issues with the meds.

Peg the problem is, where can I plug in the charger? Some airplanes have USB ports at the seat so that would work for the H/Aid and my phone, but what if they don't? I can always turn off the aids during the 7 hr flight. It won't matter - with all the background noise no one hears well LOL. I'll figure it out. Maybe will call the airline and ask. Else I'll fall back and use the old ones. They still work, just not as well - although I'm so unhappy with the sound of my "new" ones that might be welcome.
D is running late, coming back from his annual physical so I may be a few minutes late to the libe. I did work out lightly for 30 minutes and then dozed on the couch for a bit. Still tired. Will be a long day.
Pet (again) sorry about your lousy weather...
Must get organized so I can leave the moment he gets home

Writing from the PT office . It was pouring out and to hard for dh to use his walker and an umbrella at the same time. Hadn't heard about the bridge. Reminds me of Minneapolis Bridge collapse. Wordle in 5 and waffle with 3 left. Will do others later . Will check back in when we get home. Nancy

Caryn - what I meant was a charger that is a battery that you can charge then plug your phone/tablet/maybe hearing aids into? It would be charged and then hold that charge to recharge other things. Hope that makes sense. I sometimes use mine outside at the lake when I’m not near an outlet to plug into directly.

I didn't get back here yesterday because....
1) the HOA shows up to trim the front yard bushes .... finally. DH had been complaining for a few weeks. But he wasn't home. Calls me, and wants me to go outside and watch them...so that took about 20 minutes. It is not easy to walk away from my desk for a few minutes. I must, per Federal Regulations, shut down all open programs. And secure all documents.
Ok, I get back to work. An hour later he returns, we have lunch, back to work.
2) I get a weird call from an unknown, but local number. I answer. It's DH on a borrowed phone. He can't find his phone. I look for it on Life360. It's on a bike riding down an alley about a mile away. Someone stole his phone! So I stayed on the phone and try to direct my directionally challenged DH to find it. Finally he fins the guy in a supermarket. With the help of the store manager (gave the homeless person some food for the phone) he got it back. THANKFULLY, no problems with it and we don't think it was tampered with.
Boy I was ready for Movie Night!
It was a great movie. Anthony Quinn, outsmarting Nazis, filmed in Italy, what's not to like.
As you can guess, I am now further behind,
G

Oh, and I blew my wordle win streak. I didn't think that word was allowed as it is a proper name. Ugh. Over 100 days...
Not to mention that had DH's phone been hacked, I could have a major problem as he has access to my email... from that one could get to my client data.

It was a late night getting to bed at 2:30! Lots of movement when people move around in this unit so no sleeping in. I might be lacking about 2-3 hrs of sleep. Oh well, had pancakes and bacon for brunch. Need to get showered and make use of a less than perfect day in Florida with the cool temps and wind today. We'll find something inside somewhere!

Had a fun visit with DSon. He was bringing the little trailer back, while I knew he was coming, I was thinking after lunch. I put some fish & fries in the little oven for our lunch, it was easy to add a couple more pieces of the fish and add to the fries, and make a bit more coleslaw. We all decided it wasn’t a good day for him to be climbing on the roof, it’s 29* with a 28 mph wind!! He will try again tomorrow.
I think they will come here for Easter dinner. I know DDIL is trying to go see her mom most days. Mom is not eating, nor drinking. DDIL has talked with a nurse there, and they agree that it would be good to call in hospice DDIL thinks that now her mom’s birthday is over and the family, including the youngest son, have been home, as well as her seeing her siblings, that she won’t last much longer. To the point that DSon says don’t be surprised. But I wouldn’t have been surprised as I knew she had pretty much stopped eating even before they moved her. I’m sorry for DDIL, but mom, at 90 seems to have made her choice. That’s just speculation on my part, but the not eating nor drinking would lead me to that conclusion.
Tonight DSon & DDIL are hosting some of her co-workers. Not sure what this is about, but DSon picked up ribeye steaks that he will grill. Then on Saturday they will have their future SonIL’s mom and sister for a meal, and to see where the wedding will be. It will be good for them to come here on Sunday.
I will brag on my DSon a bit, before he left to get the carpets for the camp sites, he did all the floors in the house to get ready for tonight, and got the groceries they will need as well. That is normal for them, he does the grocery shopping. But I love and am proud that he helps out at home, I feel like we both live here, why am I the only one that cleans? But that’s a problem of growing up when we did, when the roles were different. Now I wish I could change some of them, but I fear it’s way too late. DH will ‘help’ but that’s not the same as knowing it’s part of living in a house. Oh well. I think I groused about that last week, there really wan’t any sense in bringing it up again.
Betty - oh my, that was a very late night. Hope today is an easy one for all of you. I get it about people walking around in a camper, you feel every step!
Gina - wow, that was a close call (see what I did there? Just for you!). So glad you were able to keep tracking DH’s phone and he was able to get it back. Whew. Sorry about the missed work time too. Hope today is a better day.
Back to the paper and the puzzles….. I did get connections today with no hints. Somedays it seems easier than other days.

Just did connections in 4 tries no hints. It was easy today.
Gina - I agree with yesterdays word, almost didn't put it in. Isn't it the same as belly up to the bar boys. (Song from Mollie Brown I think).
Peg - My DH says he wants to clean, but his idea and mine are 2 different things. I let him do his thing and then go over some of it again. He does drive a mean vacuum cleaner. His bathroom sink, which is our guest bath, is always a mess even when he says he has cleaned it. Maybe I am to fussy, but I wouldn't use a sink that looked like that. I need to get back to a daily cleaning of it like when we had 1 bath in the Dutch Star. Sometimes I really miss that thing.
Just got a text from my DS in MN who tells us he has appendicitis and they are waiting for a surgeon.

Nancy - hope DSon caught it soon enough. Let us know. And yes on the cleaning. DH really does a pretty good job with the vacuum, but when he offered to dust the other day he asked what to dust? Um, everything? I do the bathrooms, well, and pretty much all the rest. 🤷🏼♀️ IIWII
Jeanne - he’s a good guy. Very proud of him. He’s coming back tomorrow for the things he can help us with, DH just told me he was hungry for KFC, but we don’t like their potatoes, or gravy for that matter. I’m making some potato salad, and have more cabbage so will make more coleslaw. We will probably get some biscuits to go with the chicken. Maybe I should look and see what’s the best way to order what we want…… Dson was happy to be invited for lunch tomorrow. Least we can do.

Peg - thanks for the giggle...I needed that! I really wanted to get angry at DH for setting his phone down when he knows there are homeless around looking to steal stuff. But, what good would that do? Better to get on the same side of the problem and solve it. We've spent a lot of time together working on NOT complaining about each other. It helps.
Sorry about DDIL's mom, but hospice seems the kindest thing to do. Hugs, it's s difficult thing to decide to do. When you google on the word, 'Mensch', there should be a picture of your son.
RV - You did enjoy your time in Vincent, didn't you. Made some good memories.
I had a nice call with my DBro. He and his BSC wife have decided to stay home this weekend and not attend our uncle's 90th. Apparently LA is expecting 4" of rain...not nearly that much were I am or in Santa Barbara where my uncle is. I trie to sound sad on the phone, but I'm jumping for joy! NO BSC-SIL to deal with!!!
